About Us

Utopia staff have have vast experience in providing support and gaining outcomes for the most disadvantaged and vulnerable children and young people across the country. Our services are always tailored to address the specific challenges both organisations and children and young people face. Utopia believe that holistic approaches involving, children and young people, parents/carers, schools and multi agencies significantly improve the chance of positive outcomes and help to develop a range of skills that enable lasting changes.

The Utopia Team

The BTEC Level 1 course in Sport and Active Leisure is designed to equip students with the understanding and practical skills to progress to the next stage of their educational journey.

This course covers the fundamentals of sports, whereby students learn key concepts about the body and how it responds to exercise, teamwork, healthy lifestyles and leadership skills.

Our one-to-one English and Maths provision supports KS4 students by:

addressing skills gaps and building confidence

developing essential skills in both subjects

preparing them for GCSE qualifications, through sessions that are tailored towards their individual needs


Utopia Project always welcomes and encourages volunteers from the local and wider community. If you are interested in supporting vulnerable and hard to reach young people to achieve their potential and would like to gain experience in this area, please email a copy of your CV along with a covering letter to our admin team office@utopiaproject.co.uk.

Utopia Project is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people/vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

All volunteers/applicants will be required to undertake a comprehensive recruitment and selection process that includes:

Completion of an Application Form or CV, which elicits information regarding an applicants past

Completion of a Self Disclosure Form, which requires any applicant to declare past offences

Verification of identity and eligibility to work in the UK

Verification of professional qualifications

Verification of identity and eligibility to work in the UK

Screening via an enhanced DBS check

Two references, including one regarding the applicant’s most recent post working with children

An interview to acceptable protocol and recommendations which includes questions relevant to Safeguarding Children

Quality Assurance

Utopia is a registered UK training provider and possess both public liability insurance and employer liability insurance. Utopia staff are highly trained education professionals from a variety of different backgrounds including teaching, mentoring and youth work. All staff and volunteers are subject to enhanced DBS checks and posses relevant qualifications for their roles.
